Available now Free

Six months after the Voidborn burned Earth to ash, a covert United Earth Stellar Navy crew is sent back into the ruins. Their mission: recover the black box of the lost science vessel Ferdinand — data that may hold the key to humanity’s survival.

Captain Unwin, Commander Halk, and Warrant Officer Raymond descend into the scorched remains of their world — only to uncover something far worse than they imagined.

What begins as a recovery mission becomes a desperate fight for survival against an enemy that defies understanding.
In the silence between stars, one question remains:

If this is victory… why does it feel like loss?

Black Box — a dark science fiction story set in the Harbingers of the Void universe, exploring sacrifice, resilience, and the haunting cost of survival.

Harbingers of The Void

Humanity stands on the brink of extinction. Once a thriving force in the galaxy, Earth and its people have been shattered by the sudden, merciless assault of the Taruk’hian Empire—an ancient power seeking to reclaim its lost dominion. The survivors, scattered and desperate, must fight against overwhelming odds to ensure their species endures.

Amidst the chaos, Warrant Officer Jack Raymond—a soldier with nothing left to lose—becomes entangled in missions that could alter the course of the war. As he and his allies navigate treacherous alliances, fractured human factions, and the shadow of an empire long thought dead, they must uncover the truth behind the Taruk’hian war machine and the long-buried past that led to humanity’s darkest hour.

The Harbingers of The Void series chronicles the rise, fall, and ultimate reckoning of empires—both human and alien—where survival is not just about fighting, but about understanding the sins of the past before they consume the future.

From Concept to Reality

Black Box began as a college media project—a short film between five and ten minutes long, unrestricted in genre or style. As a lifelong sci-fi fan, I naturally gravitated towards the stars, crafting a scene that felt like part of something much larger. Inspired by Star Wars, I dropped viewers straight into the middle of an unfolding crisis, aiming to explore weighty themes of loss, hopelessness, and longing. Yet, like the best of Star Trek, an undercurrent of hope and possibility remained.

With limited resources, the project quickly transformed from a serious piece into an unintended B-movie—complete with family members as actors and a budget that couldn’t quite match my ambition. But the core of the story—the emotional weight and grand scale of its universe—never left me. Now, years later, Black Box is returning to its roots, finally becoming the serious, immersive story I originally envisioned. While much has changed, its heart remains the same.
