Six months after Earth’s destruction, Warrant Officer Jack Raymond, alongside Captain Jane Unwin and Commander Matthew Halk, embarks on a covert mission to the ruins of their homeworld. Their objective: to retrieve the black box from a downed science vessel—the last ship Raymond served on before barely escaping with his life.

The data it contains holds the key to humanity’s survival: the frequency of the Taruk’hian World-Killer, the superweapon that annihilated Earth. But with hostile forces closing in, the mission quickly turns into a deadly fight for survival. Not everyone will make it out alive.
